  1. Para ser honesto, no conozco bien los programas o proyectos de la WMO para opinar con propiedad, pero siempre las actualizaciones y capacitaciones serán bienvenidas.

  2. As my work is not too often connected to operational hydrology or WMO activities themselves and, rather, I am affiliated with UNESCO, I do not know much about all the WMO programmes or initiatives. However, I really value the International Glossary of Hydrology which has been co-published by WMO and UNESCO, and I use it very frequently when writing papers, etc. Also, I value the Guide to Hydrological Practices publications. However, I must admit that the Glossary could be better in some way. Especially, it could reflect more similar publications in future editions. As an example of missing reference there, I can name the Glossary of Hydrology by Shuh-shiaw Lo distributed by Water Resources Publications.

  3. Hydrohub has a tremendous pontential to change a country way to evaluate it’s water resources, by providing capacity building an new methods and technologies.
Any other program related to data sharing through international cooperation, like Plata Basin Early Warning System, has also the potential to improve water monitoring and water resources evaluation.

  4. – Education and Training Programme (ETRP)
    – Flood Forecasting Initiative (FFI)
    – Hydrology and Water Resources Programme (HWRP)
    – Disaster Risk Reduction Programme (DRR)

  5. Les projets d’appui de mise à niveau du système de collecte des données et de formation des agents en intégrant un système d’alerte précoce sont aujourd’hui indispensables dans tous les services hydrologiques en voie de développement.
